Spring Mini Session

This year I hosted mini sessions at the Utah State Capitol at the beginning of April! I have had so much FOMO from not shooting there in years past that I finally made it happen! I think we timed the blossoms perfectly and had the most beautiful sessions this year. I had the best families show up and I'm so excited to share all the pictures with you!

The Blanthorn Family was my last session of the night. McKenna is also a fellow Utah Photographer and we've been online friends for years! I was SO excited when I saw her name pop up for mini sessions and we finally got to meet in real life! We chatted for a couple weeks before our session about outfits and details. She absolutely nailed her vision of a more formal session at the Capitol. Her original outfit plan didn't work out but she just rolled with it and found something just as beautiful to match her boys! We laughed about how we both always pick white to wear for our own personal family sessions!

I loved getting to know this sweet family in the short 20 minutes we got to spend together! I feel like I left with friends. They have the sweetest little boy that loved dogs and would stare at them every time they walked by, which if you've ever been to the Utah State Capitol during blossom season you know there are lots of people out walking and that includes dogs almost every minute! We still got some good images for this family to cherish!
